off roading in a nomad?

Well, three years of having bikes and I finally drop one.
I went to a wine festival saturday, and the "parking lot" ended up just being a big field. being 94 out, I did want to park in the shade. As I drive into the lot, encircled by a gravel/dirt drive, I notice two things. There is a water truck just drving in circles spraying the ground, I presume to keep the dust down, but really just making mud. I also see two sportsters and a little shado 750 under a tree on a slight little hill. I go straight up it but am forced to turn to the right just before I am all the way up. Wehn I turned, the ground was so soft, the rear tire just went right out from under me, sideways. I sat there dumfounded/worried/mad for about three seconds and then just picked it up. Even with my wife sittign on the pillion. I couldn't believe it. When they hit ground they really dont lean that far over. It wasnt hard at all. Luckily the ground being so soft. I dented the ground instead of the bike getting scratched anywhere.
We then continued our sweaty day of wine tasting and BBQ.
It was bound to happen and that wasn't that bad of an experience.
