OEM Bridgestone tire life.
I've read that you can't expect more than 6000 miles out of the stock bridgestone rear tire but I have 3800 miles on mine and I'll have to change them before 4500, they're almost to the wear bars now. Anyone else experienced this poor of wear? I've kept them at 40 psi since taking it from the dealer. The only tires I've experienced this poor of mileage were were Continentals.

you don't mention which bike you have but on the 2011 vaquero I had the tires went 4200 miles.

I have a 2013 1700 Nomad, so essentially the same bike minus the faring. At this rate that's one third the wear than the average wear from most other tires out there. Bridgestone should be embarrassed.

The Bridgestone's on 05' 1500 Classic went almost 15K before I had to change them (both at the same time). I would buy them again.

oem bridgestone
Good timing.... I just got home from my local dealer having the back oem tire replaced with a michelin commanderII size 180/65/16. the bike just turned 11,500klms. or 7150 miles. the wear bars were showing and I was running at 36psi as per the owners manual. the guy that changed it said he put 42psi in and to keep it at that pressure for max tire life. Ive only got about 50 miles on it so far and I like how it feels. also he adjusted the drive belt!!!

Besides the poor wear component, the OEM stones are not that great in the handling dept either.
Can't remember what Milage I changed them at on my 2008, probably around 7000 km, but I call tell you that the bike handled way better with Avon Cobras. Slow speed maneuverability improved as well as just falling into a corner with less counter steer.

Got 9600 miles off the rear 'Stone on the 2012. Where do you ride the most? SE Wisconsin's secondary's are chip-n-seal, which is fairly rough, wears a tire pretty quick. Ride safe, Smokier

I don't know if Dunlop makes an E3 DUAL COMPOUND in a Kaw size but if they do, that's what I'd buy. The OEM single compound E3s on my Victory Vision lasted about 5-6k miles. I changed them out for the dual compound version and when I sold the bike @ around 14k miles, they still looked new. The Vision is at least as heavy as the Vaquero/Voyager and rode pretty aggressively.
