Finally finished everything but the Gold Leaf. Will have to wait a couple of months before the wife allows me to get it done. Boy was it a pain to wire and get back together. Pictures of before and now.

It's an 8" tablet. I saw some people do it in cars and so I thought put it in a bike fairing and a car and be able to switch it between both depending on what you are driving. It has all my music, gps, etc. I used blue-tooth to hook it up to the amp and it charges when it is docked in the fairing as well. It has worked out great.

The Apes on the before and after are the exact same but with all the add-ons it makes them look different.

They are 16" tall, 1.25" round.

Does the GPS signal rely on your cell phone, the tablet, or does it have it's own antenna? If it relies on the cell phone or the tablet do you ever loose the GPS signal when you loose cell phone coverage or does it download the maps?

The tablet. I added the tablet onto my existing cell phone plan. It has its own data plan and it uses gps through that plan. You can get different apps for GPS that will allow you to download routes as well as have it live. I use both Google and Waze and I have found that even if you temp lose coverage it will keep the last known route up and allow it to be followed. I also have downloaded music as well as Spotify that I can stream or download songs from and favorite radio stations that I can stream. I have a Speedometer app called Ulysses Speedometer pro that I really like. I can control all my apps through Ulysses so I don't have to bring up and shut down different apps.

Sounds like you planned it well. I have an AppRadio that I was thinking of putting in the fairing but I go to places that I would need a real GPS device.

You don't see very many nomads with the fishtail pipes . I think they give your bike an original look . I like it !! How do they sound ??

I have Monster baffles in the head pipes and no baffles in the fishtails. It has a nice low rumble to it but if you get on the throttle they can be quite loud. Monster makes a quieter baffle now but when I got these they only had 1 type and sometimes it can be louder than I like.

I don't know the official name of the paint. It is a matte finish paint that has the clear coat mixed in with it so you don't clear coat it. It is very durable and I like how it has a little shine but still has the matte finish.

It is Ostrich Vinyl. I live in Round Rock Texas and had a local company do both the vinyl and the paint. I saved money on the job by breaking down the bike and sending them only the pieces that I wanted done. I then put it back together. I wanted to have Gold Leaf pin-stripping done as well but they did not feel comfortable doing it so I am going to look for someone that can do it and go from there.

Is that Ostrich Vinyl? (I am only assuming that you didn't use leather... maybe it is?) Cool. And did you do the upholstery, or have it done?

Since I saw another member's ride with a leather seat, I always thought one that was tooled like a western saddle might look cool.

Anyway, nice job - definitely unique.
