Any ideas on taming V&H slip-ons?
Called V&H today to see if they made any Quiet Baffles for the slip-ons I put on my Voyager. NOPE! Dont need a lot but would be nice to soften them a little. Any Ideas?

+1 one more option. It takes a lot more effort and some drilling/tapping skills. Turn the baffles around after you wrap them. This increases turbulence and resistance of the flow. It will also wear out the wrapping faster.

What shape is current wrapping in? I purchased 12 feet of stove rope for each baffle. It made a noticeable difference, but the fiberglass batts had significant damage prior to the rope. Still not quiet to my liking though.

I had the same issues with the V&H Cruzers I had on my 800... Too loud for the local vehicle inspectors, and too loud for my neighbors when I'm sneaking out to work early in the AM.
So I welded a pair of drag pipe baffles like these ones into the front of the V&H baffle. You can tune them for sound by bending the tabs out, and they got rid of that "deceleration blat" entirely. Up until then I'd tried re-wrapping with top quality baffle wrap, turning them around, but nothing else made quite the same difference. Low end torque improved with the extra back-pressure as well. Those drag-pipe baffles are available in different lengths, and different diameters, to fit any application. I highly recommend them.

I thought Vance and Hines gave a low rumble not a loud annoying noise?

Yeah after a few hundred miles, my Vance and Hines slip ons got deeper. I'm actually enjoying them more now.

I wrapped the V&H baffles with stovepipe rope. (Gadget's Page) The harshness was gone and all that was left was a deep rumble.

Peg I received the baffles today and was wondering if you ran them as they came or did you tune them?

Installed the Drag Baffles tonight... I like them... SO FAR!!! Guessing a 25 - 30% reduction in volume, a tad less power (hoping the computer will adjust to the change) a fair trade though. Haven't ridden them enough yet to give a full report but down the road a mile the wife and I are pleased. Its 40* here so I cant tell if the pipes are hotter on my legs. The exhaust is using both mufflers more even and still has plenty of chug. Thanks Peg!

I'm pleased it's working for you... I answered your PM when I got home from work, but see you got in and installed them before that anyway.
I tuned mine until the deceleration "blat" was eliminated. That of course took a little time and some testing with various configurations to achieve. The beauty of just bending the tabs out of the pipe to get the sound you want, is that you can bend them back in there or remove the drag pipe baffles entirely as the mood takes you.

I bent the first couple in the same position as the rest were originally . Thought about maybe bending them all with a .25 or .5 hole through the center? Do you remember ABOUT how you set yours?
