Still wishing ...
I'm getting ahead of myself, signing onto the Bagger forum before I get my new baby. I've been riding bikes off and on for going on four decades now, all street bikes of one flavor or another. As small and sedate as a Honda 200 (yes, it was a street bike - great mileage!) to as crazy as the Kawasaki Z2. Which from what I understand, was never released in the US. Seems a fellow Army guy picked it up in Japan after having it heavily modified by some famous Japanese racer. He was too scared to ride it, but I didn't have enough sense to be scared, so I bought it. Closest thing I've ever seen to strapping a rocket between your legs. Anyway, I finally sold it when I went back overseas myself.
So now I'm older (notice nothing about wiser) and am currently riding a Honda Silver Wing scooter. Yup, I'm scooter trash, even got a sticker on the back that says so! Fantastic bike for running around town, has no problem with the occasional trip from Clarksville, TN to Nashville down the interstate. I actually ran a spreadsheet calculation showing how Scoot-scoot's mileage compared to my F250 saved enough money to pay for the bike. No, really! I'm not a "fair-weather" rider, but do stay off the road if it is freezing. But I'm in love. There, I said it. The first time I saw the Vaquero, my old heart just went to pitter-pattering itself to a frenzy! I'm a poor man, so I'm waiting for the new job (this week?) to put enough money flowing in so I can go pick up my baby. And it has to be red. So, about the handle. I'm retired Army senior NCO, so I get called lots of things, will answer to most of them. Shortly after getting married and dragging my bride across most of the country (TN to WA), she complained that no one would call the house anymore if I was home, because I sounded like a grouchy old bear when I answered, usually with a "what do you want?" What? I'm an NCO, got an ID card that says I'm not only allowed, but expected, to be grumpy and contrary. At least that's what I tell her! Ah, worked back then, but now going on thirty two years married, she knows better - I'm just naturally an a$$! Glad to be on board. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Welcome. Nothing wrong with putting the cart before the horse. I did the same thing. How are you gonna make an informed decision if you can't ask questions?
