Brake Help

Im getting ready to replace the pads all the way around on a 08' 1600. Im finding a lot of information on different types(sintered, organic, kevlar) pads. Can anyone tell me if there is a large difference between the types or which type is best for the Nomad?

Ive only ever used the sintered pads, thats what our bike come with originally. I found the EBC pads a little noisier than the oem ones, Now I'm using pads from Sixity and they are working well so far.

Sintered (metallic) brake pads have more fade but recover fairly quickly. They're relatively clean and quiet. Very good in wet weather as well as dry.

Organic (semi-metallic) brake pads have less fade but less overall stopping power. They're not as clean and a bit noisier (but quieter than Kevlar). They don't have quite as much grip in the rain.

Sintered seems to be the way to go. I just bought a complete new set of Sixity sintered pads (on eBay) for $50 ($49.99 including shipping). I'll install the fronts this week as those wear out more on my bike since I don't use the rear brake much. You can change the front brakes in about 20 minutes (90 minutes if you change the fluid at the same time which you should).

Replaced my rear pads with OEM. Will do the same on the front sets when the time comes. I can't remember the website where I purchased them but they are very reasonable compared to the dealer.
