Would you take photos of your Nomad here if you were trying to sell it?

I just saw this this morning and had to post it here, I couldn't believe he took the photos in the one spot of a carpark where he shouldn't be parking his bike and the carpark empty!
You can imagine what the cagers were saying when they saw this?

It's the dealer's lot.

Given that he sells motorcycles and other sport vehicles... he likely doesn't see too many disabled people coming to buy things too often. So that spot probably doesn't see a lot of parking in it -- and besides... it is the closest spot to the building... You wouldn't want the guy to have to walk too far to take a picture!

Never noticed the dealer thing. Good eye, glwilson. If it's a private parking lot, he can park wherever he wants.

In the USA it was my understanding that even in private parking lots the handicap parking law can be enforced. Think Safeway, shopping malls, gas stations, office buidings etc. Those are all private.

This bike has been on Ebay at least two times.
I will have a low mileage 2008 Nomad for my next bike so I watch Ebay everyday.
The bike is in the dealers lot and it is way over priced but it is his lot and I imagine he wasn't worried about someone calling the cops during the 3 minutes he had it there to photo it. Even if they did call the cops they wouldn't have been there for another hour.

He does offer a law-away-plan or should that have been lay-away-plan?

It seems like used car and bike prices at dealers have gone up in the last year or two. I wonder if it is to incentivize buying new? Dealers pay flooring fees on new vehicles and the margins are narrower. The longer a new bike sits, the less profit. A used bike is usually purchased at a much lower price than retail and doesn't really cost the dealer anything to sit there. It's what I call the greater fools theory. There will always be some greater fool to buy it. That bike is a good 2K over reality.

It is not uncommon for dealers of all types to have a "floor-plan" financing for their used vehicles also. So, to assume there isn't a cost for a used bike to sit there would not be true...

Really? Well, I know the margins are usually higher. The ratio between what they paid and what they are asking can be 1.5-2:1. I have seen this on cars. It's nuts. So, for instance, why would they pay a floor plan for a traded in bike that they gave someone squat? It's just I never heard of it.

Too bad it is over priced, I have a similar bike with a lot more miles, but I owe about that much on it.

posting web site in description = eBay violation.
Offering to sell off site = eBay violation

Probably been posted before because he was reported and it was taken down.

Now that I am officially physically handicapped, I have one of those signs you hang from the mirror of your car. I don't always use it if there is a spot near by. I leave the "marked" stall for someone worse off than me. But I was wondering what people might think/say if I ride up in the summer and park in a handicap stall and then dangle that same "sign" from one of my mirrors. I know legally nobody can do a thing but I might have to try it to see what looks I'd get.
