clutch observation/ question

I noticed that my 2007 Nomad clutch was slipping during roll on throttle on the highway about a year after I bought it. Probably had less than 10,000 miles on it at the time. I bought a set of Judges washers thinking that I needed to do some clutch work.

Never used the washers because the slipping went away.

It seems that a lot of us have clutches that slip early on and go right to replacement parts. I'm wondering if we are jumping the gun a bit and should wait to see if things settle down a bit with a little use.

I used dino oil for the first couple of oil changes and then switched to Amsoil. I don't remember when I changed to Amsoil relative to the clutch slipping. The bike now has 45,310 miles on it and the clutch is solid as a rock.

How can this be?
