Cam Chain Extenders Done!
MikeInFLA came over this morning about 8:00 AM to help me with the cam chain extenders. We started working on the bike about 8:30, had to make a couple trips to the store (forgot red loctite, ball end allen wrenches and we broke a bolt on the exhaust goat belly). The rear one came of easy peasy...the front, well, Mike gave it a shot before he said "you wanna have some of this fun?" I meesed with it a bit then all of a sudden, pop, out it came. Had 2 clicks left in each.
By 10:30 we had it almost all back together and just got back from a shake down ride. All in all, not a bad deal as long as I did everything right (no leftover parts and such). We did find that the bracket behind the left side dog bowel had broken at the front cyclinder so I will have to get a replacement for that but works fine the way it is now. Thank you to everyone that have posted on this change because we used little bits and pieces of all the things we had read as we worked.
