Marine radio or not for fairing?

I've been looking at Marine radio's to install behind a splash proof cover for my fairing on my 1600

I went onto Reckless Fairings website, and it looks like they are using this one with the stereo / fairing package:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882105517

I don't see that radio being marine grade.

I started thinking, if it's behind a splash proof cover, does it really need to be marine grade?

Also , I noticed the marine grade radios are " Splash proof "

I didn find a Kenwood, that says " Water proof "

Big difference between the two

Anyone running a regular car stereo on their fairing?
