Plug and Play ?? Hard wire no more!
I'm going to get a TFI and have been watching threads with interest and some helpful input from macmac and others. I am leaning towards the Dobeck TFI from Custom Dynamics for $ 191.95 free shipping. Anyway was going to get the hard wire; splice in kind as Mac suggested. I called C.D. as their web page didn't indicate the hard wire part number. They say they no longer carry the splice in kind; as there was to many technical call in problems. To many people installing incorrectly; then calling them to correct. I can naviely accept that, as I have seen same sceniro happen throughout life. Also sales/tech fellow says, if you do find the hard wire kind they are old stock/design anyway. Now the guy seems to be on the up D up; but it is for sales for C.D. or the gospel. Again I'm naviely leaning towards gospel.. and going for plug and play and using dielectric grease. I guess one could cut off connectors and turn TFI into hard wire; but would void TFI warranty? Again can't thank all you folks enough for your expertise/knowledge.
