I am grounded

At least if feels that way. On July 23rd I left home for a trip to Grand Junction, Colorado on the Nomad with the Blue Knights. Wife was not happy. She seemed to think that I should have stayed home because of my left hip. We suspected that I was suffering from transient osteoporosis of the hip. As long as I was on the bike I was okay. But if I tried to walk anywhere to see the sights my hip was not happy.

That pattern continued after I got home and I finally had enough so I called the Doc. He ordered an MRI and guess what? It confirmed the diagnosis. Only problem is that he also remembered me telling him about my scabbard on the bike and he ordered me on crutches for two weeks. RATS, no Nomad for two weeks. Can't go fishing, can't mow the yard (that's not really a bad thing except I will have to pay the neighbor kid to do it) so I feel like I'm grounded.

This sux. Hopefully the hip will heal in the next two weeks and I can start riding again. Gaaaaah.
