A good friends bike

I have a friend that owns an 800 Vulcan Classic. I was telling him of Dr. Zooms work on my Nomad and we got to wondering if the 800cc Vulcan motor has the same cam chain tensioners problem that the 1500cc has. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
