crazy storm

looking like rain this evening as I hopped on the bike to meet Laurie at HEB. So what if I got a little wet. When we left the store the clouds were ominous and the breeze was freshening and you could smell the rain. Still no worries as the wet stuff was still off to the South and West. I was going South. We had some lite drizzle this morning and I was not expecting much more than that and the bike needed a wash anyway.....
Made it home without getting wet and Laurie backed the SUV up.
I opened the door and the wind hit. Looked up and the clouds looked like a pot of boiling water. The power lines were whipping around with dust blowing everywhere. We just chunked the groceries in the front door to be picked up later and slammed the the door as the rain hit. It was blowing horizontal and every which direction. Trash cans are everywhere, branches are down and shingles are laying in the yard. It looked like a hurricaine out there but I know it wasn't near that bad. I was fully expecting hail at that point but none came. Electricity zapped off a couple times but not for long. Pretty much passed so I turned the computer back on. Excitement over. Sure glad I didn't get caught on the bike......
