Why not buy ones already made for it? Ie, the Voyager lowers.

Because they don't sell them as a part. You have to piece together every individual part that makes up the lowers for the Voyager and you have to change out the crash bars as well because the mounting points are different.

I looked at going the other way and putting the Vaquero lowers on my Voyager for the summer months and it was way too much hassle.

Can it be done? Yes.

Kawasaki should have taken a lesson from Harley. There touring bikes have many interchangeable parts so you can dress them or strip them to meet your riding needs.

Just bought a pair with the Standard Boxes. They will travel to Eire in the company of the HD fairing and Chucksters brackets I bought in the last couple of days. Hope to have all painted and fitted by the end of March as I am planning a trip across European mainland with some buddies!
