SOLO Setup
Hellooooo
On the last few bikes I have owned every now and then I usually set them up for a Solo look. This past week after riding the Nomad last week when it was somewhat tolerable weather I took her down to almost nothing cleaning the salt and nasty stuff off as well as under coated both fenders. One thing I noticed is when I removed the backrest those 2 chrome strips between the fender and saddle bags are held on basically at that point with the rubber grommets they slide over. Curious I put the backrest bolts back on (without backrest) and noticed that those bolts do nothing to hold the chrome strips on. Now in my mind I would go find some washers (clear plastic) and use the backrest bolts to secure the chrome strips. Obviously with the bags attached the chrome strips will not come all the way off but the vibrations could possibly dislodge them from the mounts. What do you Solo Guys do in this case? Am I on the right track? I am sure this is an easy "per preference" fix...just curious
