Gel Pads

I am over 6ft and 270 pounds. I do a lot of long rides. Lately I can not stay on the bike long with out pain. I had a Gel Pad but seems very compressed compared to my wife's. I have tried the beads and that did not seem to work any better. I have looked at different seat reviews and it makes my head spin. I can not afford for the seat to push me and closer because of my height. Money is really tight now but I love to ride. Any suggestions on what to do. Should I just try a new Gel Pad if so what kind.
