Stroked 1500?

I have been looking at big bore kits for my 1500 and I have noticed that there are no stroker kits available (or at least none that I have seen). Anybody know why this is? I know the 1600s have the same bore size as the 1500s, but with a longer stroke. So what's to keep some one from putting a 1600 crank in a 1500 case? I realize that it probably won't just bolt right up but why doesn't anyone offer a crank for the 1500 with the longer stroke of the 1600? Has anyone ever built a motor like this?
