Help! not getting any gas!

Went to start bike and it cranked but NO fire!
I can spray stater fluid into intake and it will run.
Its not getting any gas!
Fuel pump is making its familar sound when I turn on key.
How can I check it to see why I am getting no gas?

It sounds like the fuel pump isn't pumping or the filter is completely plugged.
Take a look at the shop manual on how they recomend to test the fuel system.

Is the fuel pump 'pressurizing the system" then shutting off ?..Or does it run all the time ?

If it's pressurizing then shut down befor you start...I'd guess its getting fuel...if it's running constantly...it's not getting fuel...has a plugged filter...bad pump...or pumping fuel "overboard" !

Good Luck !

It might be a bad fuel processor that you just put on. Unplug it and try if that works

Plenty of gas in tank
Yes fuel pump cycles then shuts off like it always does, thats why I dont think it is a fuse.
What is the ECU?
No I dont have the service manual, I was hoping to download the section on fuel pump service. Need a link!

There is no fuel pump service. You can remove the pump and clean the filter that is attached to the pump but it is part of the pump and is not sold seperately. I dont recall anyone with a 1600 having a filter that was completely blocked.
Did you try starting the bike with the gas cap open ?

It is not difficult to remove the pump once the gas tank is off the bike.
I presume you know how to take the tank off ?

Removing the pump is not that difficult, remove & drain tank, remove pump and float assembly from the hatch in the bottom of the tank.
I don't have a 1600 manual either to check the troubleshooting.
