I'm not in the market for a new machine. If I was looking, a Victory Cross Roads would be on my radar.

I read about the Judge in a bike magazine today, I liked it. Then I checked it out on the Net. I liked the video also.
The Victory engines look very cool! |

Here's a discussion we had a while back.

I'm sure it's nice, but doesn't really interest me either. Looks like all the other 900 bikes out there. It looks like this one is all about the engine... and I'm sure that's what they are going for. I'm looking for something that is different than what's already out there, style wise. That's why I'm loving the Vaquero. It's different than what anybody else has come up with. I do like the orange paint though.
I bet it would be fun to ride though, with an engine like that.

I had the opportunity to ride one last Saturday and chose the Victory Vision instead for a demo ride. I think the Judge is a very nice bike for the demographic they are targeting. The orange paint is really cool looking in person. That is a lot of motor for a 660 lb. bike, bet she runs like a deer. By the way, the Vision is one sweet bike but I will stick with my Cross Country Tour.

I haven't had the oppurtunity to try either of these bikes. Tell me the differences, in how they feel and any pluses and minuses they have to each other. I will try to demo one or both this summer. Thanks.

The major differences in the bikes are one has a fork mounted fairing and the other has a frame mounted fairing (Vision). The Vision that I rode had 42 miles on it when I jumped on for a ride and seemed really doggy. The first thing that I noticed is that the mirrors are useless, very disconcerting when riding in a group! The wind buffeting was unacceptable but was told that with the addition of lower air deflectors it is much better. I only got to ride for about 25 miles so I do need to spend more time on a Vision to get a better feel for the bike. Total storage for the Vision is 29 gallons, the Cross Country Tour is 41 gallons. You need to be a contortionist to add air to the rear tire on the Vision. Even with all that I plan on giving the Vision another chance when it is time for a new bike (fall of 2013)

Thanks for that bit of info. Why does the Vision have only 29 gal. of storage?
The Vision doesn't have a box?

The Vision does have a trunk. It is the VERY small saddlebags, the doors are 2 feet long but when you open them the actual amount of storage is very small. The Cross Country Tour has storage in the lower fairings that total 2 gallons.
