Nomad Model

I looked at a 2000 Nomad 1500 (fuel injected) for a buddy today. The model number said it was a 1500L. Mine is a 2000 carbed model and it is a 1500G2. Was the 1500 fuel injected truly a 1500L? The Nomad was pretty ragged out and he wanted 3,700 for it on Craigslist. It had 40,000 miles and all the chrome, wheels and valve covers were pitted like it had been in a salt environment. When I rode it the steering was horrible. Found out he never checked the tire pressure and it was very low. The tires were also an odd size. You think he would have at least checked that before letting someone ride it. Anyway, it almost looked like a Classic that had been converted. Just curious if the Nomad was a 1500L that year.
Thanks,
Zoom45
