help, my baggers are naked!!!

I'm installing my v & h baggers as I type this.. I got the pipes on and all is good, except now the long front pipe chrome shield won't go on cause it's to long, by an INCH. i have the same problem with the left side but not as far.. the shields hit the big clamps at the muffler connection and they won't go around them.. NOW what do i do???

never mind guys.. looks like they snap over the clamps.. didn't think they were suppose to touch... man, maybe I should stay out of the fridge till stuff is done!!!

If you tightened the head pipes tight before you installed the mufflers tight, go loosen both, and wrap the mufflers and the pipes with the heel of your fist.

Then first tighten the mufflers and then the head pipes..

If you used those ugly clamps loosen them too and tighten them last..

Before you fire up wipe off all the finger prints you don't want etched in chrome forever.

What all of this does is reduce stress to the head pipes.
