Not sure Ice, I have never heard it mentioned. Not sure how much you could lower it w/o bottoming out, not much IMO.

I put a FatBoy fender on my '01. It has the same shape but is a smaller fender. I done it without cutting or drilling and can put the old one back on and nobody will know. Well, Except for you

01, Do you have any larger pics of that? I would love to see it, and I'm sure a whole lot of others would too.

The fender from a Vulcan Drifter would look good on a Nomad and probably would make it look lower as well.

'01 sent me pics of the fender for y'all...and personally, I think they look hot!
Here are some of the notes that he sent me (and '01...feel free to add some more for the rest of the KawaNOW crowd!): "The picture from the front shows the 4 ea. 1/2 " spacers I needed and longer bolts using the same holes as the original fender. The holes in the FatBoy fender are not as wide as the Nomad fender. I just used the reflector bracket as it lined up perfectly and put a bolt washer and nut through the slotted hole. It's been on there 6 years and hasn't fell off very many times. Ah, 0 times. It comes close to a 150/80/16 Metzler tire but don't rub. I'm using a 130/16 (MT90/16) Elite on it only to match my rear tire." "I forgot to tell you. I got the steel fender from www.jirehcycles.com. They are usually the cheapest around for HD parts. I think I paid less than $60 fo the fender. The FatBoy front chrome is a stick-on from J&P Cycles. www.jpcycles.com" And here are his pics for all to drool over: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm not usually one for Whitewalls, but I bet a pair would look good with the Fatboy Fender! Eh, Ring?

I love the look of the Drifter fender, if I could get my hands on one, I would figure a way to make it fit my 1600. ![]()

+1 on the Drifter fender. I have considered this as well. I know you can get Indian Chief Fenders for only $100 at J&P Cycle, while replacement Drifter fenders are over $400. I have been wondering how much fabrication it would take to fit an Indian Fender to the Nomad. I have seen two Nomads now with what I think is a Drifter fender, and to me, they look fantastic. |

I see no reason why you can't run a more forward fender or one as close to rubber as you dare... Other than add some protection for the radiator. I live in the boonies fo' sure, and as a result am always picking up road crap, mostly in my own 1/2 mile diveway.
When I had the goat bladder on for it's short life i thought Ma Kawii had added a custom pine smell incense burner! That worked wonders on wild wimems, but all the guys called me Pansey..
