Bike Week Events
Bike week was fun but you need at least a day to spend at every major area (The harley davidson city, Main street and the speedway areas). The weather was terribly cold. We rode 800 miles the first day and the temps were in the 30's with high wind. (I was cold!) The next day was cold too but it did get in the 50's. This weekend should be in the 80's and clear if anyone wants to go. I saw more bikes than you could imagine (mostly Harleys) but had to come back early for work. There were 3 riders killed while we were there all in separate wrecks. I think I'll limit my future trips from April to September from now on. I can't take the cold anymore but the heat packs in your boots and gloves do help.

Has there ever been a Daytona Bike week with no fatalities? Seems like every year someone dies.

Yes it does seem that way Bob. Mix in a ton of bikes, some alcohol, no helmets and snow birds (read older American/Canadian drivers) and things get a tad hairy.

I gave out KAWANOW cards to all Nomads I saw. Maybe they will check out the site. All Nomads I saw except 1 was black.
