Throttle Lock and Grips

Three Questions:

1. Should I buy a throttle lock BEFORE I swap out my stock grips for Kurys? I am unsure of form/fit/function of throttle locks...

2.. Wheres the best/cheapest place you've seen throttle locks?

3. Are grips worth changing out?

I like my kury grips and would do the throttle lock afterwards as thr kurys require a little tweeking with a dremel to get the right fit. Pretty cheap anywhere.

I would get the Kury grip first. All of them are a lot more comfortable than the stock. Also check on their throttle lock they have as an add on to the grips, it looks nicer than a separate grip.

I paid $35 for the Vista Cruise @ my local dealer. I think that is about normal.

Kury's is more of a throttle assist for your palm to rest on. It doesn't lock like a vista cruise.

If you're gonna do it, do it right. Get Kury grips and a Brakeaway cruise control throttle lock.

That's the set up I had on my VN900 and I have ordered the same for the Nad.

Cheers, Black Dog

(Oh yeah, I'd do the grips first)

ok..so...

Found this (and the vista cruise) at JC Whitney..this one is for a Harley and it looks cleaner than the vista cruise...

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/I...34784710716754

I scoured over the add and cannot ascertain if it will fit the Nomad...what are ya'lls thoughts?

AND/OR

If I got the vista cruise for normal grips, then replace with ISO grips, would the VC still fit?

Thx Gang;)

Looks like the same unit as the Vista cruise without the long horizontal screw.

I say give it a try and let us know how it works!

That is a Vista Cruise in the JC Whitney ad. It just has a different mounting bracket. I don't know why it wouldn't fit a Nomad. My friend's Road Glide has the same ISO grips as I have.
