I changed sides...well, kinda

Yep, I think I have a fever!

I am here north of Las Vegas visiting a young lady I am dating, and while here we decided to stop off at the Harley shop..After checking out several bikes, new and used, we left.. After arriving back at her house, we started talking about 1 bike that I seen there that really caught my eye..She asked if I thought that I liked it enough to buy it, and my answer was, YEP..Well, after a few more minutes of conversation, I was "pursuaded" to call the shop and see what their final price was...Well, 45 minutes later I was loading up a 100th Anniversary Edition Heritage Softail..It is a sharp bike, with 9000 miles on it, and tons of extras..

After getting it loaded in the truck "was raining hard", she asked me what we were doing with th Nad...I kindly said "the Nad has its place also"....So, here goes another stage in life!

Pics after I get some taken.

Congratulations, I've been looking at the '09 Ultra Classics. Not buying now but one may be in the future. (Next 2 -3 years) By that time they will probably be water cooled and the new bugs will worked out. My wife loves the look and comfort of the passenger seat. My son wants the Nomad if I cave in so she will stay in the family. Who knows, the prices may come down some to get the sales back up.

We looked at an 08 Ultra..It had every extra you could add..It even had mirrors that had the lighted turn signal on the back side like the newer cars, and also l.e.d lights across the front fairing..It was sharp..They would have GIVEN it to us for $23,000 out the door, but The Heritage kept calling my name.

Congrats on the new bike.
I looked at the 09 Ultra as well but the one I was looking at would have been $26000 or better OTD I ride too much to spend that kind of money for a bike right now

When it was known that I needed to get something other than my 900 Custom, I looked at what all had to offer and spent a fair amount of time looking at the Heritage and the Road King. Both were very nice bikes, but I could by the Nomad for $11k and the others were $20k+. I just couldn't justify the $10k difference in price. Congrats though. I like HDs, but I just can't seem to get over the extra overhead.

Nice ride!
It would be nice to have pictures of both the bikes one in front of the other to compare body lines and all!

Thanks guys,
Radco, That golden color on the shirlds is gonna drive me nuts.. Im gonna try to take the shields off and hope there is chrome underneath..If not, then a new set maybe.

Timebandit,
I will get some side by sides taken this weekend if the snow melts..I am gonna try to put some miles on the Heritage so i can compare the 2's comforts.
