Tach Instructions update

As you know I had a heck of a time finding the proper paper work fro my Tach I won on E Bay,, When in doubt read the fine print LOL.. The tach was made by YIH TYAN like alot of tachs out there.. How about we post the Brand and Color code of the Tachs we have! and trip can pin them in Mods? so we have them handy!I know I lose paper work all the time LOL.... I ripped this off the rebel site.. But the basics are the same...........

Dennis , Gadget site says Dual fire.. so I assume it is.. not sure of the difference,, BUT if it is single fire youu can buy a adapter for 20$ or make 1 with 2 resistors from radio shack... ALSO the Guy on the Vulcan forum that gave me the heads up on this tach uses the same one.. NOW Im no gear head LOL.. so Please bear with me,, Im in the learning curve LOL....and the resitor link is on Gadgets site as well.....

Tach Instructions update

That is the exact tach I have. When I bought it they told me for the Nomad I would need to purchase an adapter so I could wire it to both coils.
Yeah, right, I paid $20 for the adapter and wired the tach to both coils. It registered 1000 rpm's at idle and when I gave it the gas the needle dropped to zero until I got to 3000 rpm's then it worked again.
Soooooo, I took the adapter off and wired to the left coil (left sitting on bike) and it works fine.
