Service Work

UPS delivered my new tire Friday. So Saturday took the wheel to local tire shop had new one installed. Also turned valve steam around to point out right side of bike. Talking about Dyna beads with the service guy he showed me a big jar full of them he had taken out of a truck tire, so he fixed me up with a couple of oz free of charge . Also did swing arm lube and drive shaft. Now its 21 degrees outside and I am writing this instead of riding :-/. O well its all good.

Papat, Just out of curiosity, what did the tire install and lub jobs cost? PM me the response if you prefer. I've got to get the lubs done for the first time so just wondering. Tire will be due soon too so will have it all done together like you.

Ells I removed the back wheel and did the swing arm, and drive shaft myself. Took the wheel to a local tire shop for $10.00 they swapped the tire added the beads turned the valve steam.

Are you saying that a regular automotive tire shop did it for you?

Dan Yes the owner of the business has installed 3 tires on my Honda shadow this is the first on the nomad. He does not want his workers to do them. I am thankful he will, it would be about 110 miles to Kawasaki "or any other" dealer to have it changed.

Yeah, got it, was wondering about the tire shop doing the lub. ??? :)

Guess if I'd get a jack to get the thing off the ground I could have lots of fun with it. Maybe paying to have it done once will be the motivation. Changed oil & filter as well as cleaned the throttle body this week. Have been holding off doing my own work but might be the time to get back into it.
