There should be something in your owners manual. Should do lube in drive shaft for sure. Go through checking all nuts and bolts. I'd check hose clamps on cooling system. I think I can find the dealer assembly manual for our bike; it will pretty much walk you through everything that was done out of the crate; I check all of those a couple times a season. If you would like the manual, send me an email.

Can the driveshaft be lubed without full rear tire removal or is this something that is pretty involved?

I think he meant you should change the oil in the rear hub.

Oil change and rear gear oil are the two big ones. Check that everything is tight. Keep receipts and note the work in your owners manual. Doing it yourself is easy on this one and both faster and cheaper than taking it in.

My dealer changed my engine oil, filter, and rear drive oil. They made sure all fasteners were torqued to specs. Can't remember what else, but mostly just inspection.

Cool. I think I will do this myself than. If it involved taking the rear tire off, I am not ready for that tool wise, than the dealer would be doing it, but I can change oils and tighten things down. Hell I know the cooling system is tight since I checked it when I had the tank off. Thanks for the info guys. If anyone else has input I will be happy to have it.

In the owners manual there's a chart that lay's out what should be done at each service.

I bought a service contract with my bike. All routine maintenance is covered for the first 36 months/ 36,000 miles, so I don't care how much the dealer charges for service at this point. The 600 mile service would have been about $170. However, the 15,000 mile service is a big one, and would have cost me ~$800 if I had to pay for it out of pocket. They service the steering head and the drive shaft, among other things at 15k.
