2009 Nomads in Dealer Showrooms

I was cruising Cycle Trader & saw several dealers have listed the 2009 Nomad in stock & for sale. None had a price posted tho...Do a search for Kawasaki Nomad. I tried to link it here, but was unable to.

I do notice they are still calling it a Vulcan Nomad & not a Voyager.
I see there's a Sacramento Dealer with one, so maybe this weekend................

2009 KAWASAKI Vulcan. 1700 Nomad, Born for the open road. Kawasakis new Vulcan. 1700 Nomad is more than a touring edition of the innovative Vulcan 1700 Classic. This cruising motorcycle is for riders and passengers who yearn for the open road and nights away from home, but also like to ride in comfort. With a large windshield, hard saddlebags, passenger floorboards, a luxury backrest and standard cruise control, the Nomad is designed for miles of adventure solo or two-up.

I have a call in to PCP Motorsports.

The salesman returned my call & said he has NO info on the availability or price. WTF?

I read about this on another forum. I think these dealers are fishing for leads for future sales. There are no 2009 Vulcan anythings in dealer showrooms and won't be for some time. Call one and tell them you'll buy one if you can ride it home today.

I just checked Cycletrader in my area, same deal. A whole bunch of nothing.

I strongly suspect that we are going to see a lot of phishing from dealers for the new bikes. Combination of market hype from MawKaw and the economy. Unfortunaly, a lot of dealerships will be on the cusp of profitability for a while.

Talked to a couple local dealers, sounds like a post Christmas trip. Still think they'll offer the Voyager for no more than 16 to 16.9.

I don't think anyone has these in stock.
When the ad in Cycletrader doesn't list a price, you negotiate a deal then they will order one for you. I think it will be well after the first of the year before these bikes hit the showrooms.
