EXHAUST QUESTION
I know this has probably been discussed several times but i have been to busy to get on with you guys for a while. I am finnally going to go for it and buy the V/H baggers for my 08 nad. Just wanted to ask you guys one more time your thoughts about the fuel injection module that everyone trys to sell you when you buy pipes. Do you think i really need it? Will i damage my bike if i dont use it? Will it affect my warrenty if i dont? Dang it is to expensive.

EXHAUST QUESTION
Unless you have made other changes such as an air filter kit, and other mods it will be just fine. There is a lot of info here on other threads where you can read up on what others have done . Youll love the new pipes and sound.

EXHAUST QUESTION
I agree with Ringadingh. Lots have added pipes and not had to use a fuel processor. There are several options to the types of fuel processors out there. Most stealerships try to sell the power commander III to you (witch by the way just happens to be the most expensive one)

EXHAUST QUESTION
You'll be fine. If you add pipes and do nothing to the intake, you really aren't increasing the airflow so you don't have to have a fuel processor. I added a Cobra FI2000 to my bike with stock, but debaffled pipes to try to make the engine run cooler and get rid of the pinging.

EXHAUST QUESTION
I run the V&H Baggers with a K&N air filter on my 2003 1500 FI w/o a fuel processor & have no problems at all.
If your bike does not have a pinging issue now, then I see no advantage to adding a fuel processor unless you want to go fast, faster & burn more fuel. My Baggers had an unpleasant raspy bark to them at freeway speed. Also be advised that you will lose some low end torque w/ these pipes. But if you look on the "1500/1600 Garage" board under V&H Baffle Removal, you will see what I did to regain most of the lost torque & lower the tone of the exhaust. I'm very happy with the end results. As to your warranty question, you may have to ask your dealer.....-Rich Login or Register to Remove Ads |
