I love the smell of cedar in the morning....

Just got back from a week-long trip to Leakey, Texas and the Texas Hill Country.....a pilgrimage I try to make every year. I took three of my Blue Knight friends with me this year.

Thought you might want to see a few pics........

I love the smell of cedar in the morning....

Hey Trip, great pix. Three of us Blue Knights from Idaho III met this morning and took a short ride around Pocatello. We have about 30 members but can only muster few for our regular meetings. Many of our members are still active police officers and can't seem to find the time when we meet.

Three weeks ago I had an interesting run in with a man who introduced himself as Brother Speed. I was in a small town 30 miles north of Boise for dinner. He followed me out of the restaurant and wanted to talk about my colors. I wear them everywhere. He let me know that he was an outlaw and that I was insulting him. I just smiled and pointed to the cross on my vest and explained that I was the Chaplain and it was not my intention to insult anyone. We had a rather interesting conversation during which I felt a little bit threatened. On the way back to Boise I kept expecting to get jumped by a bunch of Brother Speed members but nothing hapened. It was rather eerie.

That is a very interesting story Bud. I think you handled the situation very well though. I don't know what I would have done.

Down here, there are predominantly Bandito outlaw bikers. We don't run across them very much. Sounds like the guy you ran across had a bur up his saddle.

BROTHER SPEED should know its bad karma to mess with the chaplain! I ran into a couple snake river riders in Laughlin that seemed like nice folks.

Hmm, the page did not say anything about being 1 %'ers, etc. So not sure if they are "good or bad"? ???

I'm sorry, but I just don't get it. What was supposed to be offending to him?

Brother speed is an outlaw motorcycle club. I guess the fact that idaho is associated with the blue knights (police club) THAT in and of itself was offensive to him. Immature if you ask 99.9% adults.

So, a grown man would take a chance on getting shot just because he didn't like Idaho's jacket? Makes sense to me...also makes me want a CC permit.
