VANCE AND HINES FITTMENT?
I HAVE A 2006 1600 AND PUT V&H BAGGERS ON IT THE LEFT SIDE PIPE WOULD NOT SLIP ON HAD TO GRIND THE HELL OUT OF THE INSIDE AND STILL HAD TO BEAT IT ON WITH A HAMMER. THE RIGHT SIDE WENT ON LIKE A DREAM. NOW WHEN I CHANGE DIFF FLUID I HAVE TO TAKE THE WHOLE PIPE OFF BECAUSE IT WONT COME BACK APPART. TIERED OF REPLACING FLANGE GASKETS EVERY TIME I DO THE OIL. ANYBODY ELSE RUN INTO THIS? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

Everyone has this problem, I cut 1/4" off the end of the left muffler.
maybe we should start a mass email campaign to V&H.

Good idea Bob: Wonder if us V&H guys could put a small ding right where that bolt comes out to give us the extra clearance? just dont change the rear gear oil so often will work too.

Does the drain bolt for the rear diff. not have much thread on it? I've been wanting to change my rear diff. oil as well, but the baggers are almost touching the drainage screw. I'm just really curious how you all are backing out that bolt with sssooooooooooooooo little clearance?

If needed, you should be able to loosen the pipes where they mount to the bag rails and move it over just enough to get the bolt out. You shouldn't have to take the whole pipe assembly off.
How often are you changing the diff fluid? |

TODD I DIDNT MEAN I BEAT ON IT WITH A HAMMER LITERALLY. THEY COST WAY TO MUCH TO DO THAT. BUT I THINK I INVENTED A WHOLE BUNCH OF NEW WORDS PUTTING THEM ON.

Yup had the same problem with my left side and had to use a muffler expander on it and finally got it to fit.
