Stupidest thing I've ever seen

I was coming home from workouts last night in the truck and had just turned onto a road about a 1/2 mile from home and saw a small bike coming toward me. The guy riding it had a half-helmet on, right hand on the throttle and his left hand had his cell phone pressed to his ear. WTF is that move? I guess he wanted to raise his degree of difficulty in riding in traffic or something.

Stupidest thing I've ever seen

I saw the same thing here last summer. Only no helmet at all. Guy on a crotch rocket jaw -jacking on his cell phone while riding...IN HEAVY CITY TRAFFIC!
I just thought " well, apparently you have no interest in being alive".

Stupidest thing I've ever seen

One of the stupidist things I ever saw, and I don't know if you are going to believe this. I know I wouldn't if I hadn't seen it.
Cindy and I were on a two lane main road and I saw a bike coming up behind us. As he got closer I told Cin to look when this guy goes by.
He was on a Harley and was leaning back with both hands behind his head, his legs up on the tank and his feet resting on top of the handlebars. He looked over at us with a big smile on his face as he went by.
He kept that position for as long as we could see him.

You'd be lucky if your feet got wet wading through his gene pool.

That's like the idiot who bought a new motorhome, and while driving it down the road, activated cruise control, then got out of the drivers seat to use the bathroom.

I wish I was. It's frightening that some people are that stupid.

Stupidest thing I've ever seen

Yesterday there was a pink scooter, no headlight, coming down the street as I was leaving the house. Full daylight, still hard to see the scooter, and I almost pulled out in front of it with the car. I pulled up at the next light and told the woman she really needed to be running the bright light since I had almost missed seeing her coming down the road. "Oh, I know, the headlight is burned out. I can't afford to fix it. I just use a flashlight at night when I have to get home." ??? The light turned green and off she went. Totally clueless of the dangerous way she is riding.

Surely some of you rode before headlights were mandatory during the day.I remember thinking how stupid that would look, having a headlight on during the day. Funny how times have changed our perception. Now I think it is one of the better safety ideas anyone ever thought of.

Oh yeah. I remember my first bike...the ignition had three key positions: off, run and light.
