Waterless Cleaning ?
Between washings, which I only do every 2-3 months, I use S100 spray cleaner/wax. It removes bugs, road grime, etc., and is safe on all surfaces of the bike. It seldom rains here, so my bike doesn't get rained on, but it is very dusty. I haven't noticed any scratches from using the S100 on a dry bike. I also use a good high-gloss liquid wax on the painted surfaces.

Waterless Cleaning ?
I use 2 squirt bottles and lots of clean rags. One bottle is ordinary auto windshield washer fluid you can buy at Wal-Mart for $1 a gallon. It is basically pure water with a small amount of alcohol and some mild detergent. I wash the bike with that & then I go over it with the second squirt bottle which is Meguiar's Instant Detailer, which is a thin spray wax.
Every few months I polish it with Simonize car polish & then hit it with some Meguiar's Gold Glass liquid wax. I've got some chips & scratches and I really don't care that much after 5 years, but it still looks pretty nice. |

Waterless Cleaning ?
Been using s100 wax detailer for waxing and Kawasaki Wipe Down for cleaning. Also use only old tee shirts for rags and no terry cloth towels to keep clear coat scratches at a mininum; a tip from a detailer friend.

I have one of those detailing mops I use all the time to get the dust off. The dust sticks and you just shake it out. That works for about a month, sponge bath, and another month of dusting. So far the bike has seen water once.

Yeah, I don't like terrycloth either. I buy the yellow microfiber cloths from Costco & the cotton jersey finishing cloths for buffing out the wax.

Waterless Cleaning ?
I have been a convert of Pledge for years. I first heard about it on the Sabre forums and at first thought it a joke

Waterless Cleaning ?
For the last 10 years I have used a wet microfiber cloth in one hand to get the bugs and crap off, then dry it with a dry microfiber cloth. This works really well. If not real dirty, I just use Meguiar's detailer to get that show room shine. I only clean my shield with the detailer and a microfiber cloth. I put some of the Meguiar's in a small (4oz) sprayer, and keep it in my side bag for the road.

Waterless Cleaning ?
IBIZ makes a waterless washing spray for high en cars like ferrai's, mercedes, classic, etc. Spray on a dirty car/bike and just wipe off. It can clean off spray paint sprayed on a hood of a porche and leaves a g;lossy shine, Good sh*t.

I have used lemon pledge for years. I only wash the bike if it has major dirt, mud and debris.

Waterless Cleaning ?
I wash my bikes about twice a year degreasing the engine.
In between, I use detailer. Best I've found is ICE, but it's expensive. Meguiars Detailer is next and it's about the cheapest you'll find. Worst is Black Magic. Leaves a residue that you have to really rub hard to get off; especially on black and chrome. Be sure to use plenty of rags. I use old wash cloths to put it on and fiber towes to take it off and change out several times per cleaning. Ride safe, Dano |
