Oil leaking from rear shock by the drive train.

I am thinking oil Is coming from the shock but not sure if its that or something else. Can't see any coming from the case just bolt where the shock bolts on. Any help will be appreciated.

Had the same problem last spring.

Replaced seals in the final drive and put on Progessive 412's. Convinced it was the shock that was leaking however, since I got 50 cc's less fluid out of it than the right one.

What he said! Also, if your left shock is leaking, just a matter of time before the right on starts to leak! The right one leaking will drip oil directly on your rear brake rotor when on its side stand. Just a heads up! Hit a really big bump, blow out right seal, it leaks, stop somewhere overnite, jump on your bike agian, your rear brake will be compromised by 80%! It'll still work, just not very well....and your brake pads are history at that point. The rotor if SS will not be hurt, unless you glaze your pads, then you'll glaze your rotor....

I got rid of the air shocks when one of mine went bad. To much hassle with them, get a good spring adjustable shock, the adjustment wrench should come with it.
