enigine noise (again)

I know you guys told me that my engine noise is probably the norm for this bike. My brother inlaw just bought a used one with 7000 miles on it and the engine is alot quieter than mine. Is it because mine is still new and not broken in yet? think it will get quieter as time goes on? I only have 900 miles on it.

If you think there might be something wrong have the dealer check it out.

each one seems to have its own persnality when it comes to the amount of noise the engine generates. Mine sounds exactly like someone beating on metal with a ball peen hammer, it gets quieter as it gets warm, my friends bikes also make noise but not as much. If it worries you take it to a dealer if for nothing else , just the peace of mind

They do tend to quiet down with mileage. Have your dealer note it so it's not an issue later if there is something wrong.

Yeah , i told them to check it out when i had it in for the 600 mile service. But then again , they left the oil plug loose and the coolant level low so im not too sure about the opinion of my dealer. I get more info from you guys than i do anyone. The dealer seems to answer my questions yes or no.thats it.
thanks for your help. Going to ride and enjoy , im sure its ok.

watch those dealers kawbuc, they can do MORE damage to your bike than they are trying to do good. :-)

kawbuc...not sure where you're located again.... but if you're not getting the best response from your dealer...don't be afraid to take it to another. If you don't have a couple of Kawasaki dealers near you, I would take it to a different metric brand.... yamaha or honda or suziki. Like the guys are saying...if for nothing else than peace of mind.
