Getting Ready for the Recless Fairing 10" Mini Apes

Reckless on the way so I put 10" bagger apes on the Nomad. They seem real comfortable and I think they look badass. Looking forward to the fairing.

I like the bars. Can you tell me where you found the engine guard chaps? I have been thinkiing about picking up a pair. I am wondering, regarding your mini-apes, I have a tendency to get numb hands anyway, and I fear that raising my arms would only make it worse, anyh thoughts on that?

Did you ask Reckless if the fairing would fit with OEM light bar? Are you having the fairing color matched? If so what kind of time did they need with it?

I got the soft lowers at westend motor sports I think they were 115.00 shipped. The 10" are not that high but I could see less circulation being they are higher then stock. Can always get a rest with the cruise control. I have not road with lowers or bars yet. Have to wait til Saturday.

I have seen them with the light bar. I will cross that bridge when I get to it. Not to worried I will make it fit. I am getting color matched red and may try getting the bags fender and tank painted a solid red. No more biege. They said 3 weeks.

I put the Scootworks risers on mine but still want something a little taller.

They are Paul Yaffe 10 inch chrome classic from jpcycles. $112. I took my risers off because I don't think they work with the fairing. So the stock cables are fine. Some seem too long now so if you keep the risers they may be just right.

You'll love you fairing when you get it. Mine took about 3 weeks and it was 2 tone color matched. My 08 work with the light bar and the infinity radio work with the Scootworks risers. The only thing I want to replace is the wind screen it's made very cheap

They had them for the listed for the Nomad. They are desert dawgs. I see they dont have them listed for Vaquero. Dont know how different the V hwy bars are.

Thats probably why they only charge 35 for the extra one. I hope the risers work with it. Your Nomad lookss great. I got the infinity with the amp and 4 speakers so my risers may work.

I had 12.5" bars on my '07. No numb hands and my back/shoulder pain went away. 12.5" put my hands inline with my shoulders.

Thanks.Yes. I am loving the way it looks. I was looking at other motorcycles Indians and Victories for next year. I decided instead to spend 2 or 3 thousand on my Nomad and save the $20, 000 for a few years.

Took a ride with the mini apes today. Its like power steering. Feels great and was aperfect New York Nov 1st. After the rain storm.
