Changing pipes

I am looking at an '03 with Jardine dual pipes and a Cobra Fi2000 digital fuel processor and a Hyper Charger with K&N Filter on it already. If I can find them I want to put on the Roadhouse duallies or at least the Vance & Hines baggers.
My question is will I have to change or remap the fuel processor for the different pipes or will I be okay? If yes, is it hard to do?

Thanks, Bill

You will only have to make fuel modifications if the stock ECU cannot keep up with the increase air. Todd on here has the open air right side and V&H and he reports that his bike ran strong with no processor. It's all up to the individual bike.

Thanks, I figured that if it was set for one after market set it would probably be close for a different brand. All of them have less back pressure than stock.

The Cobra FI is really easy to re-tune. You're not going to have any problems that you can't solve with a little screwdriver and a couple of test runs.

I was also thinking about roadhouse dooley's. At least from the sound bites that I have heard they are the sound that I like, A real deep bass sound not real loud they just seem to sound good to me any way. I think someone on here said that roadhouse was out of buissness.I looked on their web site and it says that they are on a nationwide backorder. I ve tried for the last week to get on their site and its down. It figures when I find something I like it cant be bought. Hopefully in a month or two when finances allow they will become available.

The problem with the Roadhouse pipes (at least the ones I saw anyway) was that they collected dirt like crazy and rusted early on. I don't know if it was cheap chrome work or just all the convolutions on the fake flex headpipes of those Doolies, but after seeing a 1 year old set on a bike that had actually been ridden (instead of some garage queen) I would never own them on a street bike.

Thanks for that insite Caddmann. Was it just the header pipes or the whole exhaust. They are supposed to be available with out the flex pipe also.

It was all over the convoluted head pipes and thos big fake nuts that cover the clamps. The mufflers themselves had a touch, but not nearly as bad.

Roadhouse was bought out recently, although I can't recall by whom.

Maybe the guy with the Roadhouse pipes never cleaned them or looked after the bike. Or did he drive all winter in the salt? Thats really hard on a bikes finish.
