Garmin ZUMO 450

:-/Just received a Garmin ZUMO 450 and have some questions .
To hear the audio sound, do I need a Blue Tooth receiver? I only want to hear the directions, not talk on the phone. I plugged in a reg. speaker in with no results. I also wany to use it in my truck with some kind of a speaker set up. What in, outs, & tricks do I have to know to get the best use of this gadget. Any help will be appreciated a I am a old newcomer to the electonics world.

Zumo 450 specs say there is no blue-tooth available with this model. Try using a headphone and make sure that the volume control settings are up by pressing wrench icon then volume.

I have a 550 rabbit......While you can listen to the directions without bluetooth, you will probably need to get some kind of audio system that will allow you to hear. I use the J&M CB and J&M headset audio system with the ZUMO. All I did was plug the aux of the CB into the ZUMO and I can hear everything.

I use a set of earbuds when I want to hear the directions on my Zumo 450 while riding my bike. I have Vance & Hines pipes, so I have to have it turned up pretty good to hear it. In the cage, you'll have to get the mount and DC adapter (mount has built-in speaker) for cars. I got mine through mountguys.com. Mount runs $77.88 and adapter runs $19.95.

Thanks guys. Tried a set of old ear plug speakers today, in my truck. Worked fine.
When the weather gets better I will try a better set on the bike. 12 to 16 inches of snow is predicted for the Adirondacks tomorrow, so it won't be soon. Thanks again
