Our National Anthem

If you're as tired of hearing our National Anthem being destroyed almost every time it's sung by the current crop of pop artists (who forget the words, etc.) as I am, then you will seriously appreciate.....this version only 1½ minutes sung by a young group known as "Dave's Highway".

http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=QEGlsHS6tSQ
No instruments, no microphones, no special effects!
Just 3 young siblings (Erika, Delaney, and Zachary) singing the anthem as originally written, right in their own living room.

Very Well Done!
Like you, I am tired of most artist attempting to "make it their own"
when singing the national anthem.
Sing the song the way it was written!!!

Those children did the best job at that song, I've not heard it done that well in a very long time.
Thanks for sharing.

They should hire them instead of the so called singers that murder the Anthem.

I've always liked John Amarante. He does the anthems at The Garden. He does it very quickly as it should be. It's not a gospel ballad. Ronan Tynan is pretty good too. As far as anthem's go, I think America the Beautiful is a better one, but heck, that's me. The Star Spangled Banner wasn't the anthem until 1931. Before that the de facto anthem was My Country Tis of Thee.

Yeah... that was good. Sort-of barbershop choir-like... simple and sweet.
