Gas Prices Down Now Back Up, What Are You Paying?

Gas here in Alabama got down to $3.31 a gallon. Stayed down for a couple of weeks. Then jumped to $3.39 a gallon one day and the next day price jumped to $3.44. Yesterday Murphy Oil dropped back down to $3.39. I stopped to buy cigarettes and the gas truck was there filling their tanks and it was back at $3.44.

What is the price of gas where you live?

We live in Illinois... home state of Obama, and one of the largest entrenchments of Liberals... gas was never below $4 here... and never will be... because it is taxed in every way possible.

Entertainment tax
Road tax
County tax
City tax
State tax
EPA tax

The list goes on forever. An overwhelming majority of our price per gallon is due to taxation here in Illinois... and we are a bankrupt state.

Gee... what does that tell you about politicians handing-out freebie's to their voters?

It tells me it doesn't work.

Will the last one to leave Illinois please turn-out the lights. ;)

It was a $1.31 a litre here yesterday. When I filled my boat tank with 5 gallons of 91 octane it cost $35.00. I remember filling that same tank for under $4.00 years ago.

Sounds like parts of North Dakota and Arizona are our low price leaders. I filled the bike today and put in 93 octane without the corn and it was $3.74 a gallon. Could have gotten 87 octane for $3.44 a gallon. That would have saved me $.60 since I put in 2.026 gallons.

For California that isn't a bad price. Thought it would be much higher. I am sure the big cities are.
