Road trip begins

In a few hours I hit the road for Ohio. Going to stay there for a week and then head to Maggie Valley before I head back home to Idaho. Hope to see many of you in NC.

Enjoy the ride Bud. Take pictures and let us enjoy your ride as well. When do you plan on arriving and departing Maggie Valley? I can ride up on a Saturday or Sunday to meet some people but weekdays are out. Got to go make the donuts.

Hey Hey hey. I made it to Mansfield, Ohio on Tuesday Morning. Had a great trip. Not a single drop of rain for the entire ride from Idaho.

The Nomad is running awesome. Needed to clean the turn signal switch when I got here because it was sticky and yesterday for some reason the bike started to idle fast and the engine was surging. I grabbed the idle control knob and turned it down and it settled back down. Don't have any idea why it went haywire all of the sudden.

I made 763 miles the first day and 888 the second. Tuesday was a piece of cake, only a couple hundred miles or so.

Did not do very much night riding at all but the little that I did do was a new experience with Chucksters light bar on the front.. Lot's of light where I need it now but I still don't like to ride at night any more than necessary.

It is good to be back home in Ohio. Beautiful state. i realize that most Ohioans are obsessed with large yards. I guess when God supplies the water to keep them green they don't mind mowing them. I see lots of work getting them done when i look at them now tho. Had a big yard when i was a kid here and it seemed like I was always behind a mower. For some reason my Dad liked the big yard.

Sorry, no pix for now. Kind of hard to take pix and twist the throttle at the same time.

I miss Ohio sometimes too. Having grown up not to far from Mansfield (Fremont), you are in my old neck of the woods. Have a safe trip and see you soon.
