Brake Pedal
I would like to extend my brake pedal. I was a link on this subject last year but I can not find it now.
Any suggestion on how to extend the pedal?

Are you asking about making the break lever portion longer, or the brake pedal pad wider? If it's making the lever longer, the above links are good, If it's about making the pad wider, Kurakyn makes a lot of different replacement pads, and most of them are quiet a bit wider than stock. I have the stock lever, and use a Kuryakyn # 8027 brake pedal pad. It sticks out almost as far as the edge of the floorboard. Here's a photo showing it.

The Scootworks pedal is the way to go. Very nice piece and puts the pedal right where it should have been put by MawKaw.

I used the Drifter pedal and it was perfect. Set it a little lower than the original, and with the extra length, much easier to use and quicker to find.
A BIT OF TECHNICAL ADVISE: Before you pull the bolt completely, take a small pair of vice grips properly adjusted and grab the spring from below so that the grips hold it in place against the frame. When you have things lined up and ready to reassamble it will be very easy to get the bolt back in and stabbed through. Otherwise, the job is a piece of cake.

The last post by Skeeter confused me.
If you want more room on the floor board, buy a Drifter brake pedal, because it is longer, right? You don' t want the Nomad brake pedal replacement, because it won't solve the problem. Am I thinking correctly?

Thanks, Steve.
I thought you were blowing snow? I just heard that the temperature is going to drop and we could get another 14" by tomorrow.

If referring to OEM levers then yes, the Drifter lever is the way to go rather than a OEM Nomad and is quite an improvement over it. (I used a OEM Drifter lever prior to installing my Scootworks lever) My reference was in regards to the Scootworks brake levers. The difference between Scootworks Classic/Nomad vs. Drifter lever appears to be the finish only. Their site says; Vulcan Drifter Brake Pedal - Available in black powder coat or polished chrome finish. I'm not 100% positive but the chrome lever they offer for the Drifter is probably the same as THEIR Classic/Nomad pedal. Contacting Scooterworks PRIOR to purchasing would always be recommended if any doubt exist about it's application though. Hope that makes it clearer.............. Skeeter
