Nullification and the Left
Okay, our state legislature is 95% Republican and they are considering passing legislation that will nullify Obama care. The left wing newspaper pundits are all over it with one of those guys calling the legislators "Gomers". In other words, not very civil.
All of this animosity comes from the idea of not following whatever selected federal law that they choose, in this case Obamacare. It will be the end of the United States as far as they are concerned if we can freely pick and choose which laws we will nullify. This got me to thinking. What about our so called Immigration Laws? These left wing elitists have been ignoring those laws for decades. Even going so far as to publically declare them null and void and establish so called 'Santuary Cities' to enable the violation of those laws. These actions have caused private citizens (doctors) and businesses (hospitals) as well as local and state governments to go bankrupt providing benefits to illegal aliens. (I refuse to call them immigrants of any kind) So my question is; how is this vigilante movement to ignore immigration law so much more noble than a legislative effort to pass a law to nullify bad federal legislation that a Federal Judge has deemed unconstitutional? Somebody explain this to me. Please.

Good questions Bud. I think the health care legislation should definitely be nullified. Can't answer the question you posed though. Maybe someone else can.

Bud, it's because they are so much more enlightened than you are. You just fail to understand the difference. Some Laws are just wrong. While others elevate the whole civilization. They will let you know which ones are which. ::) ::) ::)
