I Continue to Amaze Myself

Couldn't believe it. I had to rewire the trailer light plug to match the one on my bike. So today I rolled the trailer around to the garage and backed the bike up to it to start the show. First the round plug I had for the Gold Wing came off, then came the job of matching up wires correctly so I get the right lights at the right time on the trailer. Turned out that the colored wires from the bike end do not match the ones coming from the trailer. So it was "by guess and by golly," and lo and behold! Thirty minutes later everything was hooked up and working correctly. Nothing cross wired or anything! Gotta be a first with me. Electrical wiring is not my strongest suit, but maybe I'm turning a corner here. WOW!

Any way, I'm ready to go camping now. Life is good.

Sometimes wiring can be a challenge, a good test light is a must.
Good to see you got it all figured out. I'll be doing some wiring on my bike very shortly.

I know what you mean GregO! It's not really that difficult, I think what you have is that feeling of accomplishment and you did it yourself. Electricity ain't my strong point either. :)

After it was over, you didn't stand in the shop hugging yourself for fifteen minutes like I did did ja ???

Good job GregO glad you got it right. House wiring for me is simple but automotive and cycles can be very trying.

Congrats. Electricity is my scary area. An army maintainer once told me how simple working with electricity was, "It's either smoke or music."

Too much "smoke" in my past has created an indelible nervousness. However, after each project is finished, it all seems so simple--until the next job.

Pretty much, yes I did. The usual thing is that Murphy seems to be alive and well when it comes to such stuff. Normally I follow the instructions to the letter, and then when I'm done and everything's buttoned up, POOF! it doesn't work. Then I have to start chasing the electrical gremlins to figure out what went wrong. A curse on "Murphy" and his law.
