Moly Paste for driveshaft

I was looking through sources for maintenance items for the new bike and I found a paste with more moly than Honda's.

When I had the nomad, I had problems finding the right stuff. Honda has the moly 60 paste, but not all dealers carry it in stock, believe it or not. If that is the case, I'd rather order it online.

Moly Paste for driveshaft

It looks like it comes in a tub, rather than a mini grease gun cylinder, so it is probably easier to use.

Moly Paste for driveshaft

Moly 90 vs. Moly 60.. what's the benefit one over the other? Does 90% just handle a higher temp ? Is it thicker/stiffer grease? Is this the same stuff we should use for swing arms ?

I justed used some moly paste that I got a autozone. Was the a bad idea? Didn't know it needed to be anything special.

I've never seen Moly 90. Honda's is 60%, the stuff I put up is 73% I believe. Most of the stuff I have seen in autozone and other places is much, much less. A lot of guys use the Honda 60. This stuff is used by Beemer people. I would use either feel fine about it. I'll have to research to see if kawasaki specifies a certain amount of moly.

I will tell you what though, If I was willing to spend the dough, Krytox® might be an interesting lubricant. It makes synthetics look like petroleum products of the 30's.

Moly Paste for driveshaft

It's totally impervious to heat below 800 degrees and has a lubricity index next to nothing... Nascar guys use it..

Originally made for super extremes like space..

Yes, they use it on the space shuttle. DuPont makes it. It's probably 4-5x the cost of good moly.

Sounds good, but is probably a little overkill for the Nomad, especially if I have to buy it. Id use it if I had it but I don't think our driveshafts get abused to that extreme with only 65hp twisting on them.
Im sure my Molyslip will be more than enough for what that bike puts out.
