SOLD!!!!!: 1500 Nomad Ultimate Seats

Folks,
After many years of riding, and a few on the Nomad, I'm finally selling due to a few life changes.
I have for sale an Ultimate Seat set. It's the studded kind. These are in outstanding used condition. No rips, tears, scuffs, or wear marks. These are truly the most comfortable bike seats I have ever sat on. The front seat has about 1K miles, the back less than 200 miles. Ultimate wants $570 new. I'm asking $350, plus $25 for shipping anywhere in the CONUS. Paypal, money order, or a personal check is okay. If personal check, I must wait till it clears before shipping.

If it was only for a 1600....and had the drivers backrest. I'm getting ready to order it new.

Just a few questions about the seat. I haven't put a lot of miles on my bike yet, just bought it, 1500 (carbed version) so I don't know if I'm going to like the stock seat on a long trip or not, but I was wondering if this one sits in the same position as the stock. Does it move you back, forward or same as stock? Does it raise you up, down or same? (I have a Mustang on my VOL and wouldn't try it for anything). Here's a question you probably don't hear much, but when I bought a used seat for the VOL the person I bought it from was a very large person, even though it looked new, the foam was broke down to the seat pan. So how is the foam as far as wear on this one? (BTW, Mustang wants $250, just to replace the foam). So I swore I would never buy a used seat again. But this sounds like a good deal.

Does it move you back, forward or same as stock? Does it raise you up, down or same position as stock?

I didn't notice any remarkable change in the seating position. It does seam to angle a bit to the back, and it has a larger rear lip to hold you in. The padding is also much wider than stock. I just thought the stock seat was miserable overall.

Thanks, next April I have a 2400 mile ride planned, I have a feeling I will be looking for a new seat after that ride.

Coming up with my screen name was probably the least creative thing I have done :-) (didn't want to change it from the VoluisaRiders site, some people already here know me). But I'm a Art Director in a publishing company. Have been doing graphic design work for over 23 years.
