Great bike.
Make wure they have done the recall to replace the ECU. That made a big difference in the bike. |

Think about all the money you've spent on your bike, getting just how you wanted it. Will you get that money back on a all out sale or trade in?

Whoa whoa!!!!there boys. You might be jumping to conclusions here. I am not buying a Voyager. I do like them though and would if I could, and keep the Nomad.
And your correct Al when you mention me getting the '06 to how I like it. That's exactly what I've done and the $$$ have added up. I also agree Tom that I too found myself a little crowded on the Voyager. But Scott, your answer is kind'a what I was looking for. The different items like the saddlebags, maybe motor issues. I know they sorted out things like the heat venting for the rider and the computer issues they had. The reason for the question is that my friend Brian, in Calgary {"midge", who some might remember from Custer} has just bought a new 2010. I believe it is being delivered on Tuesday. He orig. thought he would be buying a "wing". I'm not sure what changed his mind either. Maybe it was the $30,000 dollar price tag, or maybe the way it fit him. But he nixed it and got it down to the Victory Crossroads {with the detachable trunk etc.} and the beloved Voyager. I encouraged him to buy the Voyager based on my dislikes of the far too futuristic IMO, Vision line. Anyway for whatever reason, he went for the Voyager. He now is selling both his 99 or 98? Voyager and real nice tent trailer, AND his Ltd. Edition V-Star. Both bikes are in great condition but that Yamaha V Star is beautiful and has very very low miles. I don't/didn't intend to turn this post into a "For Sale" posting but I think this might be his ad, but not sure. http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ257382148 I was just wondering, is all, if there were things that he might want to think about, or do, that perhaps the dealer might not have mentioned. He is a member here at KawaNOW but isn't the computer junkie like I might be considered, given the time I spend here. And he doesn't come here often. Perhaps he will be now that he has a newer Voyager. I was just doing some checking for him.

I once talked to a guy at a gas station riding an '09 Voyager and he was not happy with his mileage at all. He was hoping it would get better with break in. From the way he made it sound he was only getting high 20's - low 30's for mpg.

I have the '09 and love it. Mileage after the ECU change is consistantly 39mpg.
