Loving the Darkside 195/60/16 bridgestone el400

{{{Update}}} the bike is ready to roll, car tire is mounted and installed back on the bike, test drive was a huge success !!! the ride feels Superior in many ways, the bike seems to be more controllable now, even in the turns, not a single issue so far adjusting to the ride, very smooth at highway speeds and more stable feeling.
Currently running 32psi

Congratulations, and WELCOME to the "DarkSide". Not trying to be a smart a55, but where did you get a 15 inch wheel fo the Nomad"? I wish mine had a 15" wheel, there is a lot of tires available in 15".

I tried to make the switch this summer but didn't plan ahead far enough to get everything I needed. As some of you have probably found out, asking help on this from either the MC or Goodyear shop will only get you crazy looks!

Will be more prepared to make the switch next time. -Cal

Glad you are pleased with the car tire. I'm still a motorcycle tire man.

I have one in the garage I ran for about 3,000 miles, still looks as if brand new. Just wasn't for me ..

If anyone is interested they can have it cheap. It's the 195/60/16 bridgestone EL400

I know a lot of people are going to the "dark side", and there are certainly more experienced riders than I making that decision, but I just can't see me doing it. It's a motorcycle after all, and given the way a motorcycle functions I think the best thing to put on it is a mc tire.... front and rear.

That said, I hope your experience is safe and enjoyable!

Congratulations on going to the darkside. I just got a new rear tire and am having it mounted. It's a Hankook Ventus V4 es H105 195/55 R16 87V. This should be a higher quality tire than the Achilles ATR Sport 195/55 R16 87V. I was very pleased with the Achilles, but it only got a little over 20,000 miles before wearing thin in the middle. Maybe I'll get a little more out of this one.

Are most of you Darksiders installing your own tires or finding a shop to mount 'em? I asked a couple shops in the area about mounting a CT and they weren't interested. -CB

Update, I have put on almost 4 thousand miles on my car tire ans i am still very happy that i did, i works much better for me than the old mc tire, better handling, braking and it is more stable at high speeds and in cross winds. i am lucky to work in a repair shop and do my own tires, never had an issue getting the tire mounted... lube lube lube, and my happy spot is 31psi.
